چکیده

Predicting the prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) is challenging since these tumors exhibit a wide range biological behaviors. It has been hypothesized that caudal-related homeobox gene 2 (CDX2), which vital for intestinal growth and maintenance, tumor-suppressing effect promising role in CRC but studies are still controversial. This study used immunohistochemical (IHC) staining method to determine expression CDX2 protein mucinous non-mucinous adenocarcinoma, as well normal tissues control, correlate this with clinicopathological features such grade, tumor distant metastasis, site, histological type, lymph node invasion, sex, age, rate 4 years Overall survival (OS) after diagnosis. A total sixty three tissue samples were obtained from patients (58.90±14.94) embedded wax thirty-seven non-tumoural (56.43±12.28) control group. decreased significantly (p<0.05) than advanced pattern CRC, moderate poorly differentiated grades, invasion (T3, T4), organs metastasis. Moreover, low was (17.943±1.7) months compared (33.431±2.7) those high (p = 0.0001). concluded regarded prognostic diagnostic marker patients.
